Marketing and Design Executive

Overview

The Marketing and Design Executive will play a central role in generating an effective stream of leads into the business whilst continuing to contribute to Portman’s brand recognition. Responsible for creating and managing successful direct marketing campaigns, the Marketing and Design Executive will work across a broad array of marketing activities to promote Portman’s services and finance solutions to targeted audiences.

To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone who has general digital marketing experience; a working knowledge of email and social media marketing, and copywriting experience. The ability to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Produce general finance and sector-specific multichannel campaigns that professionally represent the Portman brand and maximise lead generation;
  • Manage the company’s email marketing programme, including the design, copy, platform management, measurement and reporting;
  • Manage the effective use of prospect customer data, ensuring restrictions are not breached and that targeting is deployed correctly;
  • Manage content on the company’s social media platforms (primarily LinkedIn and Facebook);
  • Design and produce copywriting for campaign landing pages;
  • Contribute to the production or running of exhibitions, which may include attendance;
  • Design, amending where necessary, company and customer documentation templates;
  • Contribute to the production of advertising material for both online and offline campaigns;
  • Produce vendor support material to help suppliers promote our financial offering;
  • Analyse the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns via both our CRM (Zoho) and other analytical tools, including Google Analytics; and
  • Any other appropriate job duties in line with the associated skill and experience of the post holder.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Marketing role with a focus on building and launching marketing activity with some exposure to copywriting is essential;
  • Experience with email and social media marketing;
  • Natural creative flair for both design and copy;
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Working knowledge of SEMrush, Google Analytics and other reporting and analytical tools is desirable;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; and
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to write professional copy.

  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks at any given time in a fast-paced environment;

  • Good commercial acumen; and
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a team player.
